Well, this has been a lucky day! Mom has announced that she is going to Ireland!! Great craic (just learned this means Great Fun!) Secondly, we finally heard back from our second apartment. We are in the process of sending the deposit for this 7th floor apartment (bldg has an elevator) with a roof garden! This is perfect for Mom to relax. Our plan is that while bedrooms are private areas, the common living areas, kitchen, and balconies are open to everyone whether you are actually sleeping in that apartment or not. So, sometimes we might congregate or rest in one apartment and sometimes in another. We still have one more to go, but we are close!

Putting photos in is easy. I added pix because I can't find the darn icon for adding a link. As for the "polls" element, we seem to be missing the template tab that should be next to the Posting and Settings tab when you click on New Post. Not sure what to do about that. I guess Susan is busy getting ready for Turkey now. What will we do without her for 2 weeks? Yikes!
Maureen the apratment looks great! Where is the location/name of the place? When you say the living, kitchen and balcony areas are open to everyone,does that mean everyone in the building or just everyone in our party?
Hi Kevin, this one is on Parliament Street on the west side of Temple Bar. Parliament St runs N-S from the river to Dublin Castle. Wonderful location, but no place is perfect. It is the only one with a lift, so far, but it only sleeps 3, possibly a 4th single person on a futon.
I could not figure out how to include the link late last night, so I pasted in some pix. I will try again later or pass it off to the blog technical wizard, the Lodging Queen of the East! Ellen is probably smiling on all of us today!!
Are you running today? Good craic! Although running a marathon is never fun, accdg to the Fridge Man.

LPOTW simply means that we may gather in any of the accomodations on a given day or evening
we are aware that we will need to designate a space for you to have "DIM free time" as you prepare for the marathon
